Quimex SA is a 100% subsidiary of Exterran which is the result of the merger in August 2007 of the Universal Compression and Hanover compression group of companies.

What do we do?

Quimex from its HQ in Geneva (Switzerland) is a specialized service company, dedicated to After Market Services (AMS) of users of gas engines and gas compressors in Europe/Africa/CIS and parts of the Middle East & Central Asia.

Quimex supplies parts, new and reconditioned engines, compressors and subassemblies, technical support, engineered retrofits (controls, ignition, regulation), filtration, specialized manpower on a call off basis, O&M contracts, etc. Every service to keep our customers’ units running efficiently and economically where and when possible.

Quimex is the exclusive distributor for a number of American based gas engine and compressor manufacturers in addition to the ancillary equipment that accompanies them. These include companies such as Waukesha, Endyn for (Cooper Superior & Ajax) engines and compressors, Altronic, GTI (bi-fuel diesel/gas on diesel gensets), Universal Turbo, Stitt, Manzel/Trabon/Lubriquip, Peco (filtration), etc.

For a long time, we focused on West and North Africa, where we have over 20 years of experience, serving clients from the Super Majors to the local service companies, i.e. Shell, Total, Perenco, ENI, Serept, Sonatrach. For the past 10 years, we have been reaching wider and are servicing cliens such as NAM, Oxy, Joint Operations, etc. in our other geographic markets.

Why us?

Composed of a dedicated sales and support team, Quimex is based in Geneva, Switzerland and, through Exterran, has offices in Nigeria, Egypt, Dubai, Kazakhstan, Moscow, UK, etc… In addition, Quimex works via its own network in Tunisia (Tunis), Algeria (Algiers). Most other markets are served directly from Geneva.

Our purpose is to serve clients efficiently and competitively. Our distributor status allows us to be competitive on a large range of equipments, our experience of remote markets is extensive and means that we adapt our supply to local conditions and not vice versa. We have highly qualified & experienced technicians at competitive rates, used to working in remote areas and through our Principals have access to repair and recon services when we cannot offer them through our in country facilities. Lastly, complete units and spares are shipped directly from the US based manufacturers to achieve the lowest prices in the market.
